Community sensitization and education

Engaging with the local community while presenting our solution to solving the water access problem at the local government district headquarters in Kayunga District

Our Approach

1
Co-design

We collaborate with communities from day one.

2
Assessment

We prioritize schools, clinics, and communities by need, population, and ability to maintain systems.

3
Ownership

We train local operators and establish community savings accounts for future repairs (O&M).

4
Ongoing support

We remain present for 1–2 years post-installation to guide training and address system defects.

5
Sustainability

We ensure communities can independently manage their water systems after our support ends.

We also source funding, identify cost-efficient and experienced technical partners, and ensure local community members are hired during implementation—boosting local ownership and economic impact
